Halloween project



Getting used to unity

This is my first time every using unity or any game programs, I am very new to this, I am learning to model in unity and Maya

for the Halloween game we came up with the idea to make a game where you need to exorcise an abandoned building of it's ghosts, I had the idea to make the enemies be haunted pumpkin zombies that are being brought to life by the ghosts, I did the first ideas and design for the enemies as well as helping coming up with the concept.

for the game I came up with a basic concept as well as some art, this ended up getting scrapped but my original idea was (I had some help with friends coming up with this idea) you're an exorcist trying to rid a church of ghosts, if u succeed the property gets used and u get a promotion, if not the property still gets used but it is haunted, I made a main character for this game as well as a few enemies, most of it got scrapped though (see on character design page)the idea for the game was a sort of exorcist like ghost

busters, I made the base character and I was planning to do a uniform for him (yes this is his job) but  didn't get around to it

this was the original sketch I did just as a concept (I gave him a facial burn scar to give him a bit of edge)

this was a later design I did for him with a bit more character to it, he has facial hair and more scarring as well as a ghost hairclip to symbolise his exorcist job

I made an enemy concept for a pumpkin being possessed by a ghost taking the physical form of a person, aka a pumpkin zombie, this is the original one, his weapon would be spitting pumpkin seeds and he would also charge at the player
this is a rotten version of the zombie, there was going to be a version with a missing jaw, but because it is rotten it cannot spit seeds, so it has a vine whip

this is a crawler version of the zombie, he has no legs so he crawls quite quickly towards you, it also gives you a poison debuff

I think my strength when it came to this test project was coming up with ideas ans characters. I managed to come up with an idea for a main character and different types of enemies which all had differing mechanics making the game play more interesting, I think this was a good opportunity to show where my strength are and maybe help the areas where my strengths arent
